Steve Orlando delivers a new installment where he heavily focuses on the relationship between the protagonist and his ex-boyfriend and it quite frankly works wonderfully. The writer immediately realizes how important they are for each other while also showing their chemistry and history.
The rest of the issue is also pretty entertaining with both of them going into fights full of action where both have to use their skills in the best way possible. Not to mention that Midnighter finally finds a way to beat Afterthought in a logical way.
ACO and Hugo Petrus share the pencils and their work is quite good. Both are able to complement their styles perfectly while demonstrating really strong storytelling skills and solid character models.
Entertaining issue, hope the series continues this way until its end.
