The Gang of Harleys will have to demonstrate that they can stand on their own.
After defeating a hipster mafia, Harley was kidnapped by a mysterious person and now is up to her sidekicks to find her before is too late, but it might be too late already.
Here we have the beginning of yet another Harley Quinn miniseries and while some people might say that is a bit overkill, I'm certainly not one of those people.
Jimmy Palmiotti is accompanied by Frank Tieri in this story and both inject enough humour to make it faithful to her own series. From the beginning where the Gang of Harleys have to fight against a hipster mafia (which turns out to be just as crazy as you would expect) to the multiple jokes that happen around them, you definitely get the same style of comedy that you would expect from this franchise.
Plus, there's some character development for the rest of the gang once that Harley asks the popular question: Are they just a bunch of wannabes? Hopefully the writers will answer that during the course of this tale.
Also, the last pages were quite shocking all things considered.
Mauricet handles the artwork and is pretty good looking with expressive and detailed characters and strong action scenes.
Entertaining issue, hope it continues this way during the course of its run.
