Some thoughts about Aquaman #51

Aquaman will have to face the culprit of the recent murders.

The man known as Dead Water doesn't even realize what he has done and Arthur will be forced to find the person behind everything: The Scavenger.

Once again, this is pretty enjoyable.

Dan Abnett brings a new chapter where he explores more about the recently introduced villain Dead Water and his condition. The contrast between his actions and his actual personality is pretty interesting to see, about how he has no memories of what he has done but still feels terrible about them. The idea behind his transformation being based on water is also creative and obviously connects him nicely to the protagonist.

Plus, The Scavenger returns and he's just as menacing as in his last appearance. Abnett's work is pretty much a direct sequel to Geoff Johns' run based only on the villains and I'm thankful for that.

Vicente Cifuentes handles the artwork and is pretty solid with good looking character models and strong action scenes.

Glad that I read this, this is easily the best work in the character in a while.
