Wonder Woman will have to face her biggest fears.
Diana has followed Hecate's orders without knowing what it could bring. Now forced to to enter into a world of nightmares she will need to find a way to escape and save her loved ones but it could be too late already.
This story is about to end and it seems like is not enough to Meredith Finch to be bad, she needs to be atrocious.
First, there's this whole sequence about Diana facing her own fears and nightmares which is decent enough due that it offers some logical events based on her character (I'm not a fan of how weak in terms of personality Diana is here but that just the usual for Finch). The problem is that while confronting Hera in a pretty forced and illogical way, Diana finally realizes that Hecate has been manipulating her all this time which is something that THE WHOLE WORLD HAS KNOWN SINCE SHE FIRST TALKED TO HER! Diana is gullible to impossible levels which is completely out of character.
That's not the worst part though, the worst part happens at the end.
You see, there has been some mentions of the upcoming run by Greg Rucka about how Diana will have to face a great tragedy and it seems like this is what they're talking about: Zola appears dead at the end.
If this is actually permanent is a completely stupid and useless way to get rid of a character who represented one of the best runs in the history of Wonder Woman, this is a huge punch to the people who enjoyed her during Brian Azzarello's work, not only because she died but because she died in such anticlimactic and poorly handled way. I don't know if this was Finch or editorial's idea but whoever is responsible doesn't deserve to be part of this title.
Miguel Mendonca is the only good aspect of this issue. His artwork is beautiful with a clean and detailed style and good looking characters.
Don't read this, don't even bother to see the end. Just wait for Rucka's run.
