Can The Flash outrun death?
Barry has been possesed by the Black Racer and now he's being controlled by his necessity of bringing death. However, he will only need to end one life if he wants to save everyone.
Well, this was... not really good.
Rob Williams delivers a story where he explores what would happen to The Flash once that he has the powers of the Black Racer and he does a solid job character-wise at least. There are some points from Barry's life that are accurate despite of how redundant they are like how he misses his mother, his relationship with Iris, mentions of his enemies, etc.
The problem is that some of the ideas are either not impressive or all over the place. The Flash has to outrun death, that has been done several times in the past and this doesn't present anything surprising aside from that and Barry's solution is to kill death himself (which makes me wonder how the Black Racer never thought that could happen) but that supposedly is going to free the essence of death over the universe killing everyone and the only solution is that Barry needs to end his own life by surrendering to the Black Racer... but wouldn't that still cause death?
Bwhu?
The themes contradict each other too much for their own sake, this issue basically accomplished nothing.
Jesus Merino is in charge of the art and his work is okay, it does a decent job at telling the story but is not particularly impressive nor beautiful.
Underwhelming overall, was hoping for something better.
