What put the Martian Manhunter in this path?
J'onn J'onnz has been learning about Earth since he arrived. However, he will need to learn more about himself once that the truth behind his arrival is revealed.
A fill-in issue but that not necessarily means a bad thing, especially considering that the quality of the book hasn't been the best.
The two writers who have handled the Martian Manhunter in the New 52, Matt Kindt and Rob Williams, work together to bring a story that serves as a conclusion to Kindt's work on the character as well as a prelude to Williams'. The result is a story that combines themes from both writers and does it in a solid way.
There are some plot-points from Kindt's work like Thoth and how he brough J'onn to Earth while also touching Williams' story like the appearance of new Martians and how that is starting to get revealed to J'onn himself. It presents a nice continuity at the very least.
Philip Tan is in charge of the pencils and is not a bad work, it can be kinda messy at times but it tells the story clearly for the most part.
I wouldn't call this great but it does a decent job at telling what happened in between both stories.
