Some thoughts about Batman and Robin Annual #3

Batman and Robin are about to have one of their most amazing missions.

A module has just crashed on the Moon and both Bruce and Damian will need to investigate if there's someone still alive. However, things are going to get more complicated than they appear.

This Annual marks the proper finale of the book and Peter Tomasi's work on it. Since the beginning of the series, Tomasi's strongest work has been focused mostly on the relationship between Bruce and Damian, so does this issue delivers in those points?

I'm happy to say that it does.

This story takes place after the last issue of the title with Damian being powerless again. Tomasi knows how to exploit this correctly by concentrating on a kind of danger that both protagonists should have problems with.

Not to mention that the premise itself is quite fun, Batman and Robin on the moon. In fact, the whole chapter is a lot of fun without taking itself all that seriously and manages to play the dynamic between father and son perfectly.

Plus, the end has a nice remembrance of the first issue.

Juan Jose Ryp handles the pencils and his work is really good for this story with expressive characters and detailed settings.

Overall, this a solid conclusion for the book and a fun adventure on itself. Nice read.
