Some thoughts about Green Lantern Corps Annual #2

The war against the Green Lantern Corps has just began and it's already one of the biggest events that they have ever faced.

The Durlans, the Khund and a whole roster of the most dangerous villains in the universe are united to destroy the Corps and if they want to survive they will need to forma an alliance with the same people they have been fighting for years.

This was a pretty dense Annual and I would say that it's much better than not only the previous one but also the one from the Green Lantern main title. Both Robert Venditti and Van Jensen tell the story of the highlight of the war the affects the whole universe and the action and story move a pretty fast pace, not to mention that there was a lot of content on this issue, you defintily get your money worth for this.

Plus, I really enjoyed how the writers told the different stories from each one of the villians. All of them were pretty compelling and help to make you invested into their characters.

The art unfortunately, is not as great. Neil Edwards hanldes the main sequences and his work is merely adequate, his characters especially don't look so good while Tom Derenick is in charge of the segments about the origins of the villains and he does a better job than Edwards but not that impressive either.

Still, this was a quite worthy Annual overall. Congrats to the authors for such an exciting read.
