Some thoughts about Green Arrow #27

Ollie is about to learn the most shocking secret about his time on the island.

Green Arrow and Shado have just been encountered by the Shield Clann and their terrifying leader Kodiak. To defeat them, Ollie will have to face the truth, nothing has ever been an accident about his life and the person who has been manipulating him for so long is finally revealed.

I can't honestly believe this series, each new issue delivers a new surprise that rocks Green Arrow's world and this issue is no different, if anything is even more surprising. Every aspect from this series have been building to this point including the island, Katana's connection to The Outsiders, The Green Arrow and of course, the mysterious man who planned all of this. Jeff Lemire's ability to create an engaging and cohesive story is outstanding, every plot-point has been building to this moment and its pay off is incredibly satisfying.

Andrea Sorrentino continues to be one of the main attractions of this series of course, If Lemire's storytelling is great, Sorrentino just makes it perfect by selling every action and character moment in an impeccable way.

Best issue yet and favorite pick of the week, I now that I keep repeating that about this series but if you read this issue you will realize why.

This issue also marks a year since this new creative team came on board and I will always be thankful for turning this book featuring my favorite character into my favorite DC title each month.
