Heroes are falling around the world due to the Crime Syndicate and the next team to face them is the Doom Patrol, could they fare any better?
Victor Stone is barely alive after being separated from his cyborg components that created Grid and now that only way to save earth and himself is to build a new body. Enter Cyborg 2.0.
I will get this out of the way already, I absolutely adored this issue. Not only we finally get a story exclusively dvoted to Cyborg and his grow as a character but we also see some glances of Geoff Johns' classic worldbuilding. The Red Room, the Doom Patrol, the Metal Men, etc. They're pretty interesting already despite that we only see a few aspects of them.
Plus, I must say that I'm really liking the new version of Cyborg. Don't let the cover fool you, this is a much sleeker design and one that seems a lot more effective for him.
I have a complaint though, I wish that Johns would have used this Doom Patrol a bit more before killing them all, thought they had potential. However, I suppose they're planning to reintroduce a new one.
Ivan Reis only does the layouts this time while Joe Prado, Jesus Merino and Vicente Cifuentes do the last touchs. The art looks a bit uneven at times, most likely for the amount of artists doing their own styles and frankly it doesn't look as good as when Reis does the whole work by himself, but it's still okay.
Excellent issue. This is the title to get if you want more development of the story in Forever Evil people.
