Some thoughts about The Green Team: Teen Trillionaires #8

The final stand of the richest superheroes in the world.

The Green Team is about to face the villains who have been trying to destroy their lives and mission, do they have what it takes to become the heroes they have always dreamed to be?

I must be completely honest here: This series could have been much better than what it actually ended being.

Some of the issues were fun while others where lackluster and this issue falls into the latter category unfortunately. The character work basically stopped, the dialogue was pretty uninspired and finally, some of the plot-points didn't have a proper resolution.

This is a shame since I think that Art Baltazar and Franco are a pretty competent creative team based on their work on Tiny Titans, but sadly they never were able to hit the sweet spot in this series and it seems like a waste of potential since I was genuinely excited when I heard about the initial premise. This could have been DC's answer to Marvel's Young Avengers by exploring different and creative concept in a superhero world but never was able to rise above the "okay" zone. It was simply forgettable.

I.G. Guara handles the art and he's as consistent as ever with quite expressive characters and solid storytelling techniques.

Average issue from a book that could have been much more. Still, I must say that I'm intrigued about what this means for the future of the Teen Titans.
