Some thoughts about The Flash #27

The Flash is about to dwell into a mystery that has a connection to the past of the Gem Cities.

Barry Allen is currently investigating about a murder case that for some reason some people don't want him to discover. Could it have something to do with his mother's murder or is just an excuse to find some reason to his tragedy?

The beginning of this three-issues arc written by Brian Buccellato, since the start of the New 52, the writer wanted to tell the hidden story of the Gem Cities and it seems like he finally has the opportunity, so far it's a quite intriguing one.

Buccellato explores some of the events from the past that somehow seems to have a connection to Barry's history, the mystery is handled pretty nicely with several hints that represent evidences about where the story is going and also some well executed character moments from all the members of the cast.

Now let's talk about my favorite aspect of this issue, the art. Patrick Zircher absolutely destroys it on this issue, his storytelling techinques are top-notch, his characters look quite attractive and his style is fantastically vibrant, perfect for a character like The Flash. Shame that he's just staying for this storyline.

Great issue and I hope that the rest of the arc keeps delivering on these terms.
