Some thoughts about All-New X-Men #21

The X-Men are about to get into conflict with a crazy religious cult. It's deja vu all over again.

Dr. Stryker wants his revenge due to the death of his father years ago and it's willing to destroy the team to accomplish it. What he doesn't know is that this is a quite different group of mutants.

Thought this was a decent issue but not really great. Brian Bendis does a good job at recreating some scenes from the classic X-Men story "God loves, Man Kills" and the way he portrays each character is pretty good, even the villain has some good moments. Still, this felt like a pretty fast read, not a lot happened aside from defeating their enemies and there wasn't many interesting revelations about these kids.

Brandon Peterson continues on art and his expressive and vibrant work continues to fit the style of this series pretty well. Brent Anderson handles the flashback scenes and it's pitch-perfect representation of the past.

Decent issue as I said heavily decompressed. Hope that future issues start delivering more plot.
