Are the United States done for?
The President has been murdered and now Valentine will have to deal with the consequences which will be bad for everybody.
Another issue, another engaging read.
Brian Bendis offers a new installment where he explores the ramifications of the death of the President. As we learned before, both the Government and the Families were corrupted in their own way and some of the characters were forced to work with them or, in Valentine's case, against them. There's a complex situation due that Valentine was basically born to destroy the Families from the inside just so to realize that the Government he was helping was equally as bad which showcases the conflicting situation and life he faces.
The plot itself doesn't progress much but still delivers a quite intense scenario where the protagonist has to meet his former bosses which leads into a compelling conversation based on the events that escalates powerfully towards the bloody and logical end.
Michael Avon Oeming remains in art duties and his work is still fantastic, expressive where it needs to be and strangely realistic despite of its cartoony look.
Great read, can't wait for the next one.
