What is David's future?
The Joker has kidnapped Superman's new sidekick and is decided to torture him like he's used to but this could cost him a lot.
Well, this issue truly went places.
Mark Waid offers a new installment where he explores more about David's character and he does in pretty surprising manners. The issue itself progresses at a pretty fast pace, sometimes a bit erratic due that it jumps from scenario to scenario and I feel like characters like the Teen Titans were not really needed here but eh, they don't ruin the plot.
Speaking about such, Waid actually delivers an interesting portrayal for villains like The Key who has an interesting angle about his origin and while the Joker is presented as predictable as you can expect, he mostly serves as a reason to push David into the next level, one that is connected to another famoud Waid story and one that I definitely wasn't expecting despite that the clues were always there, this also gives an old antagonist an interesting motivation for what he did and gives more context to his relationship with Superman.
Dan Mora's art is still amazing thanks to his kinetic style that depicts every scene with a lot of detail and follows the story perfectly.
Solid read, can't wait for the next one.
