Who is Mother Blood?
The Cult of Blood has been gathering many followers and one of them is willing to rise above the rest.
This was a rather serviceable I guess.
Dan Abnett offers a new installment where he explains the origins of the new Titans villain. The way how the early days of Mother Blood are understandable because they're connected to how cults work, the fact that she was simply one of the followers at first makes her path to become the leader compelling at first glance while her reasons for joining are also logical.
That being said, she's not really that interesting of a character by herself. Again, her motivations and journey are all decently told and everything but she's simply not that compelling, especially because the issue is mostly centered around her rise to become Mother Blood and not so much about her own personality. Not to mention that the plot barely progresses because of this.
Clayton Henry handles the art and his style is pretty vibrant and flexible. No complaints here.
Passable I suppose but things need to be better than that.
