Some thoughts about Justice League Odyssey #4

Can Cyborg show that he's a God?

A whole planet believes that Victor is the deity they have been worshipping all this time and to save themselves, Azrael and him will have to make them think that's the truth.

Man, this was just a fun issue.

Joshua Williamson offers a new installment where he explores how this civilizations dedicated to the protagonists are constructed. The people who worship Cyborg believe in a more technological advanced culture which makes sense all things considered and makes one wonder how the following planets will be depicted.

Best of all though, is the characterization. Williamson definitely respects Cyborg and is finally giving him a solid portrayal where he shows how competent and important he can be, particularly when he's "forced" to beat the hell out of Azrael, showcasing how his tech is the best in the Multiverse and finally celebrating with a big "Booyah!", this is pretty much the kind of fun characterization that David Walker tried to create during his Cyborg run but constantly failed at. The rest of the cast also get a nice role in the story and I just love this new arrogant personality for Azrael.

Philippe Briones is actually getting better in art duties with a much more vibrant and detailed style that creates solid characters and environments.

Good read, hope things continue this way.
