Some thoughts about Batgirl #30

Is Elections Season in Gotham.

Batgirl is having a conflict about who she needs to support due to his father's involvement in the Elections and things will get even more complicated once that a known criminal appears.

This worked decently aside from some issues.

Mairghread Scott opens a new storyline this time heavily focused on politics which is not necessarily bad because of the premise. The Elections puts the ideologies of both Babs and Jim Gordon in perspective and conflict which allows for an interesting topic of discussion between the two, one that can be believable because even families can have this kind of arguments.

The problem with this is that Jim is automatically ready to start a fight with Batgirl because of this and I find hard to believe. It has been a running idea pretty much since the creation of Barbara as Batgirl that Jim knows everything about the Batfamily, including the fact that his daughter is part of it which makes this whole segment seems pretty off but even if we ignore that, Jim seems even more aggressive than usual.

That being said, the issue has decent content and progresses the plot enough.

Paul Pelletier handles the art and is really good looking thanks to his expressive characters and vibrant look.

Not bad, just a bit inaccurate.
