What is happening in Metropolis?
Mysterious cults are starting to appear and Lois will reveal something to a close one that could change their relationship forever.
Boy, this was a very fast read.
And this shouldn't be a surprise coming from Brian Bendis who is the King of decompression (he even surpasses Geoff Johns at his worst). That's not to say that there are not enjoyable aspects in this issue, Jimmy Olsen having a bigger role in the story is appreciated (although I would like to think that he's smart enough to get out of a cult when he sees it) and the conversation between Lois and her father seemed interesting and on-point despite that I fear for the consequences this might bring.
Then again, this issue was pretty light in content with barely any story going on. Bendis is pretty much just setting-up pieces for the story that is about to come, even Amanda Waller's role comes almost out of nowhere and is not even explained, the chapter just ends before you start wondering what's going on.
Steve Epting's artwork is fantastic though with beautiful characters, clean style and clear storytelling.
Not bad, not great, pure transition.
