Can Aquaman remember who he is?
Arthur has completely lost his memories and now he will have to trust the people who saved him to help him but some of them might have other intentions in mind.
Sadly, this new direction is still not gaining me.
Kelly Sue DeConnick offers a new installment where she continues to develop the mystery about the fate of Aquaman. There are a few things to enjoy here like how Mera's position as Queen of Atlantis was preserved and this is great because it presents a lot of possibilities for the character. There's also a glance of worldbuilding like when the writer explores other Gods related to the sea that were never seen before and, as I mentioned in the previous chapter, are not connected to Atlantis so it makes them look new.
The problem is that this is just really a "glance" of worldbuilding due that their introductions occur rather fast in one panel each and don't really offer much info to be invested in them, nor even their personalities are showcased, this would have worked much better if they would have been introduced one by one and focusing on their personalities per issue. Sadly, as it is, is a pretty simplistic way to introduced concepts and the story as a whole is rather dull for that matter.
Robson Rocha's artwork is really good with beautiful characters, vibrant style and clear storytelling.
Not really interesting and I'm not sure if things are going to get better.
