What is truly happening in Metropolis?
Clark is trying to investigate the real nature of the Red Cloud but his research won't prepare him for the real danger.
This is actually building-up into an interesting story.
Brian Bendis offers a new installment by exploring more of the Red Cloud's plans and they're more complex than expected. Once again, Bendis delivers quite a few charming moments concerning Superman's nature including the fact that he knows he can trust children (even with his own identity) and showing how his empathy is one of his strongest aspects. Good characterization overall.
The plot also progresses at a nice pace since quite a few revelations were delivered which include the connections the Red Cloud has and how all of them have a much bigger history with Metropolis, one that not even Superman knows and could change the course of the whole city.
Ryan Sook handles the artwork and he's a master storyteller who is able to elevate the script to new levels by delivering immensely memorable scenes.
Good read, wish the other Bendis' Superman book was as good.
