Some thoughts about Heroes in Crisis #4

What is the secret of Sanctuary?

The Trinity are trying to investigate who is behind the murders while Booster Gold will have to accept his role in this case. However, there's something that Clark has not been telling that could alter the direction of this mystery.

Getting worse people, only getting worse.

Tom King offers a new installment where he reveals more of the different heroes being treated in Sanctuary and is all a big mess in terms of what the characters try to portray and how they're actually portrayed. From Tempest getting drunk because the Titans are no longer together, to Donna Troy poorly explaining her situation, to a single page of Batgirl simply showing her bullet wound and yes, King had to deliver THE WHOLE sequence of talking heads except without the talking this time which makes it look even worse. Best part of the whole thing was when Black Canary simply said "Ah, f*ck this" which seems surprisingly in character for Dinah (but of course King also had to complete the full sequence and waste a page).

But you know where one particular character is destroyed? When Clark decides to not tell both Batman and Wonder Woman valuable information that could have helped this case because of some sort of "reporter code" and Lois ends-up publishing the story pretty much making the superhero community look like a bunch of idiots. You know what? I don't give a sh*t about this code of whatever the hell King tried to depict here but I believe that the true Superman would value life above anything else and thus how do the hell do you justify this betrayal to his beliefs?! How could he let this happen?!

Oh yeah, and Lois doesn't particularly look well either.

And speaking of which, Clay Mann's artwork continues to be gorgeous but there's a little problem with his "style" here. You see there's a sexy scene of Lois here just when she's discussing the case with Clark and I can't help but wonder: Does a story where characters get murdered in the most horrific and pointless ways possible REALLY needed that scene? Don't get me wrong, I love sexy characters but I just don't think that is going to make this book any more appealing.

Horrible and I don't have a good feeling about what's coming next.
