What are the mysteries of the Multiverse?
The true nature of Thanagar Prime has been revealed and J'onn will learn that their mission is just beginning.
Well, as far as conclusions go, this was satisfying enough.
Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV bring the final chapter of their Escape from Hawkworld by doing their usual job of also setting-up the "next big story". Mind you, while I had my complaints about this particular trope in the past because of how underwhelming it ultimately made their finales, I think it works better here because there was a lot of worldbuilding, many important plot-points and sub-plots are created here concerning the Multiverse and the roles of the key members of the cast including a few revelations that put their lives in context (That being said, I'm not sure if I'm okay with the retcons of their history for the long run).
This is still not perfect though since the usual overwritten narration is still present here although is not as overwhelming as previous issues and at least it gets the job done as a huge info dump. Also, I wish that Katar would have stayed alive somehow since I believe there was still potential for that incarnation of Hawkman.
Jim Cheung and Stephen Segovia share the pencils and their work is pretty consistent during the course of the read, creating quite energetic moments and a vibrant style.
Decent overall, let's see how things go on.
