Some thoughts about Batgirl #31

Batgirl will have to save the entire city from their own leaders.

The Elections continue and it seems like one of the candidates is connected to a mercenary who is hunting people around.

This arc continues and is getting more complex.

Mairghread Scott offers a new installment where she explores about the nature of these Elections. The characterization for Batgirl continues to be solid due that she demonstrates to be quite competent during the investigation and as a vigilante (despite that she was brutally defeated by the antagonist), once again, Scott demonstrates a good handle at Babs' voice (not so much with Jim Gordon but that's another thing) and shows all the aspects she contributes as a heroine.

This is pretty much the most political direction that the series had so far (Yes, Hope Larson's "progressive" direction doesn't really count) due that it includes actual politicians and how far they're able to go to win an Election and how the people involved had their own different motivations and roles to execute here. It's pretty interesting overall and provides a quite dense read.

Paul Pelletier's art is still really good thanks to his expressive characters and clear storytelling.

Decent read, let's see how things progress.
