Can the Freedom Fighters save America?
The Ratzis have taken control over the country and now the only people who can save it are being labeled as terrorist.
Unfortunately, not as good as the first one.
Robert Venditti offers a new installment that follows the promising set-up. The thing is that this issue is mostly dedicated to action, yes, is fast-paced and mostly entertaining action, but still makes the issue feel really lacking in content and barely progresses the plot. Not to mention that we don't know much of the cast yet.
There's not to say that there are not things to appreciate here. Venditti seems like he's experimenting with the kind of "widescreen" style that writers like Geoff Johns are known for, focusing on big moments that makes the story seem like a big blockbuster movie and in that regard is not that bad, particularly because there's a good sense of escalation and inspiring scenes.
Eddy Barrows handles the art and is really good since he does know how to make the story bigger in terms of scale and create vibrant fight scenes.
Not as good but still not really bad, hope the next one offers more though.
