Barbara Ann Minerva has always believed in the extraordinary despite of living in a world that made her believe the contrary. However, she will suddenly be forced to start following her instincts to find the truth.
Year One continues and this time is focused on none other than the Cheetah.
Greg Rucka offers a new chapter dedicated to Diana's nemesis by exploring more about her own past. We see her early days that reveal what caused her current motivations as well as what cemented her personality. The way how both her beliefs about reality and fantasy contrast is pretty interesting and certainly brings a nice parallel with Wonder Woman.
The way how the story progresses has a connection with current events, particularly the ones from the present time segments that investigate more about the mythology of the character. Unfortunately, we don't see much about Barbara's own transformation here.
Bilquis Evely handles the artwork here and is always great to see her thanks to her beautiful style that creates lots of great characters with a precise storytelling skill.
Pretty solid, I just wish there was more content.
