The Birds of Prey will need to work together once for all.
Dinah can't help but start reminiscing her own past while investigating this case and that might gave her the strenght to continue.
Well, this was much better than the last issue all right.
Julie and Shawna Benson arrive with a new chapter mostly devoted to Dinah's early days. There's a good sense of continuity here since they even explore some of her origins during the last Birds of Prey series written by Christy Marx (as flawed as that was) and also make the connection with Dinah's mother to create a solid resolution for that time of her life.
The present time segments are also solid with good interactions between the characters and strong action scenes full of nice dialogue.
Claire Roe remains in art duties and her work is getting better, much more polished than before with more appealing character models. Roge Antonio handles the flashback segments and is overall a pretty consistent style and probably even more solid looking than Roe's work.
Good stuff overall, hope it continues this way.
