Laura and Gabby will need to change their lives once again.
After receiving a mysterious package, Laura will realize they need a new place to stay. However, she will soon realize that danger will always come after them.
Well, this worked better than the last one but still suffers from some flaws.
Tom Taylor arrives with a new chapter where he plays with some of the ramifications from the last one, namely the fact that Laura is now distrustful of everyone and is decided to make Gabby safe no matter what. The characterization works solidly and there are some fun moments between both of them, especially a few ones where they focus on their relationship and how Gabby is still just a little girl despite of her origins.
On the other hand, this still felt like a pretty quick read. The scenes that work work nicely but not a lot happens here per se. There are some hints about where the story is going but they don't do much to advance the plot.
Nik Virella handles the artwork and is decent with clear character expressions and storytelling but it doesn't look particularly polished or impressive.
Not bad overall, I liked some of it but hope the next one offers more.
