What is more sacred than marriage?
The society is getting accustomed to the idea of marriage but some people will never tolerant about it. Fred and Wilma on other hand, will have to remember the reasons behind their union.
The satire continues and is once again, glorious.
Mark Russell delivers a new chapter where he focuses this time on the whole nature of marriage and how it affects different people in their respective ways with just a little bit of social commentary about Gay marriage at the beginning that suddenly becomes pretty blatant towards the end but is still quite successful.
The story itself is devoted to how people see two people getting married as something unnatural due that everyone is used to the idea of living in caves with several people which obviously presents multiple opportunities to make fun of society as a whole and how they take such notion. There are couples who can't stand each other, couples who are just beginning and in the middle, Fred and Wilma who despite of their differences they still show their love for each other in many charming scenes.
Best of all, everything seems balanced because even the pair who are always arguing show that they deep inside they still care for each other. Plus, the commentary about Gay marriage (who are appropriately called "Adam and Steve") is quite on-point and makes the story even better.
Steve Pugh remains in art duties and is as strong as usual with expressive characters and a semi-realistic tone that makes everything come to life.
Excellent stuff. Possibly the best read this week.
