Can The Flash outrun Godspeed?
Barry is trying to stop August from killing more criminals but he will need other people's help and fortunately, Wally West is back to do so.
Well, this was a satisfying conclusion for the most part.
Joshua Williamson brings the final chapter of his initial story by focusing on the battle between The Flash and Godspeed as well as on character work. The final fight is interesting enough with some solid ideas about how to defeat the villain and a nice and logical inclusion of Wally as Kid Flash.
The character development is solid too. There's a compelling twist about Godspeed's own character that actually presents an intriguing dilemma. Wally receives good scenes about his interactions with both Barry and Iris. Barry obviously also gets his own good moments.
However, some of these left me cold despite that there's nothing really bad about it. For example, the twist about Godspeed's own motivations could have been executed pretty strongly but ultimately went nowhere since he apparently didn't even care and learn nothing about it.
Carmine Di Giandomenico remains in art duties and his work is still impressive during the speed scenes thanks to his vibrant and powerful style.
Once again, this a well-done story but one that at times is not really as strong as it should be.
