Hal Jordan didn't know what it means to be a God until now.
The Green Lantern Corps is currently suffering the consequences of Darkseid's death and Hal will have no other choice but try to stop the attack whatever it cost, even if that cost is his own will.
This... gives me mixed thoughts as a whole.
Tom King offers his own take about the death of Darkseid and how it affects the rest of the universe, especifically the Green Lantern Corps. There are actually some pretty interesting character moments for Hal as well as a compelling explorations of both the GL and New Gods mythos, and all of it is presented in a pretty distinctive way. Is a quite deep read in that sense.
Oh, and what else? Oh right!
The constant, constant, constant, repetition, repetition, repetition, of, of, of, WORDS, WORDS, WORDS!
I know this is a King's thing at this point but having several different phrases and words being constantly overused during the whole issue to create an effect gets quite noticeable, and not in a good way. There are some awkward moments too like when little Hal starts speaking in a quite unnatural way, I suppose that the author is trying to make him talk like kids SUPPOSEDLY talk but once again, he overuses some of the mannerisms.
Doc Shaner handles the artwork and his work is beautiful with an incredible storytelling skill that complement King's presentation nicely.
Yeah, some things worked, others didn't. Still an interesting read I would say.
