Some thoughts about Convergence: Batgirl #2

Batgirl's final battle is about to start and there might not be a chance of winning.

Stephanie has been prepared for this moment but despite of her training, she might not be ready to face someone like Gorilla Grodd. Now, once that Cassandra and Tim and put in danger, she will need to think outside of the box if she wants to save everyone.

Pretty fitting for a conclusion I would say.

Alisa Kwitney delivers the final chapter of this little story where she continues to focus on Steph's character work and demonstrating the kind of person she is. It was pretty good to see what makes her different from both Cass and Tim respectively and it reminded me why I miss her so much as Batgirl.

The resolution of the battle is also a logical and interesting one considering the protagonist while the final pages also bring a sense of closure to all the cast. Add the good sense of humour and dialogue the story provides and you have a pretty compelling read.

Rick Leonardi still handles the pencils and his work continues to be solid with detailed characters and action scenes coupled with good storytelling.

Satisfying finale and a good send-off for the character.
