The secrets of Gotham Academy continue to be unveiled.
Olive Silverlock is currently investigating about the strange appearance of a mysterious boy who has been helping her and by doing so she will discover that there are beings inside of the academy that could be more dangerous than mere ghosts.
Well, I have been anticipating this issue for a while and the wait was worthy.
Both Becky Cloonan and Brenden Fletcher deliver a quite strong script where they keep exploring the different segments of Gotham Academy as well as introducing fun new characters into the cast. The good points don't end there though since the supporting characters are given some interesting developments that makes them pretty entertaining.
Plus, I need to continue praising how I love the characterization of the kids from this book since they actually act like kids. They can be naive, socially-awkward and even pretending to be cool, is just that they're playing a pretty dangerous game.
Karl Kerschl impresses even more in pencil with probably his strongest offering yet. Beautiful characters, wonderfully detailed settings and a style that you can find anywhere else. I would say that you should pick this up at least for the artwork.
Excellent chapter and I hope that I don't have to wait as long for the next one.
