Some thoughts about Justice League Dark #38

Can the Justice League Dark survive the travel between realities?

Zatanna has been suffering after being lost in a dimension where her dreams can become true, but soon she will realize that it's not reality and she will need to do whatever she can to make her friends live.

Well, the story keeps progressing satisfactorily I would say.

J.M. DeMatteis' storyarc focuses this time less in worldbuilding and more on character work. We see some important glances about how Zatanna's inner mind works as well as her motivations for leading the team. Sadly, I feel like this portrayal is too dependant on Constantine and while Zee has a definite personality, her desires are way too one-dimensional.

The rest of the cast receive some solid aspects of characterization and the content of the book is definitely good, you get a lot of story here.

The problems ends-up being Andres Guinaldo's art, his work follows the story decently but the way he draws characters has become worse. The faces are pretty awkward and is an overall ugly look for them.

Solid issue aside from some problems but needs to improve in some ways.
