Some thoughts about Batgirl #38

Batgirl has become really popular recently but at what cost?

Barbara has just realized that her secret identity is receiving a lot of attention in social media but once that she's being compared to an irresponsible rich kid who is putting people in danger maybe is time to stop the trend.

It appears like the creative team is taking the whole concept of the book into an interesting direction.

The whole theme of social media has been pretty relevant for the tone of the book and fortunately both Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher now how to exploit to make it more important to the plot itself. All the attention that Barbara has been receiving comes with some pretty strong ramifications that affect her career as crimefighter and will most likely produce more in the future.

Plus, I really enjoy how there are several sub-plots that have been introduced over the course of the run and they keep being developed. There's a bigger danger upcoming and I'm really excited to know more about it.

Babs Tarr's artwork continues to shine thanks to her distinctive style, beautiful characters and strong storytelling skills.

Great issue, this continues to be one of the best reads of the week.
