Guess what? More war!
Commander Khan will do the ultimate useless sacrifice. Batman and his group will need to survive the forces of Apokolips. Mister Miracle and his team are trying to escape from the planet itself.
You thought that The Atom's death was stupid? Well, it was but at least it had some purpose despite of how insignificant and unsatisfying it was.
Amir Khan died for nothing, he was killed by Darkseid in one of the most pathetic ways that you could imagine. For a character who was promised to be the equivalent of Nick Fury in the Earth 2 universe, this kind of fate is just a wasted opportunity and once again, a spit to the people who were invested in him.
Then again, that seems to be the typical route these authors are taking.
Most hilarious is how the writers are trying to give Val-Zod some sense of importance after being such a cardboard for so many issues by making him say some plot-points during the fight. The problem is that there is no way he should know those details and so it feels pretty forced.
Pacing continues to be a mess, content is also lacking, art is repetitive. You know, World's End.
Awful issue, I wonder how worse it can get?
