Some thoughts about Earth 2 #28

What are the origins of the Furies of Apokolips?

Around the universe, several monsters were created and Darkseid were not going to let them waste. Now under his guidance, these creatures are going to wreck the earth.

Did you know that this book is called "Earth 2"? Because you wouldn't realize it if you read this issue.

Now apparently we have a Czarnia, Warworld which of course bring a Lobo and Mongul from Earth 2.

Do you remember these characters existing in the old Earth 2 universe? Because I certainly do not.

This alternate dimension is unrecognizable at this point. None of the old mythos are being explored, hell, they're not even being adressed.

This chapters marks yet another low point in Tom Taylor's run since is pretty obvious that he didn't know anything about the history of this world. Thsi wouldn't bother me as much if this title was called anything else but is called EARTH FRIKKING 2!

About the story itself, is pretty barebones. There's not a lot of content and if you don't care about the Furies (which I don't) you won't care about this issue, none of them is particularly interesting. Marguerite Bennett is not exactly doing wonders here.

Art is brought by Andy Smith, Diogenes Neves and Alisson Borges, the tone follows the same that has been present lately which is bleak as hell. Even Neves' style is not safe from looking repetitive.

One of the weakest issues from this series. Thank God someone else is paying this for me.
