Some thoughts about Superman #36

Ulysses has decided he wants to create a perfect world no matter the cost.

Clark can do nothing but watch how the people of earth are trying to desperately go with Ulysses based on his promises. Unfortunately, things might not actually get better for them.

And just with this chapter, the story has started to reach its climax.

Geoff Johns continues to bring his tale about two supermen with a lot of similarities but also a lot of differences at the same time. Ulysses has some of the same values that Clark has but just like many other Superman's analogues, he's using his powers in misguiden ways, is even more obvious in this chapter when everything is going for the worse.

The characterization remains strong as usual and despite that the goals of some of these characters might be wrong, they're at least undestandable. There's a scene in particulat that I enjoyed where the people start fighting to get over the ark, you will know which.

John Romita Jr.'s artwork continues to improve by providing an installment with much more polished character models and great storytelling.

Pretty good issue, it makes me excited for the next one.
