Some thoughts about Teen Titans Annual #3

A young team of metahumans trying to become relevant to the world, somehow everyone thought this would have a better result.

The Teen Titans have been fighting different threats since they joined, they have made mistakes and commited a lot of terrible things along the road but at the end of the day they were their own incarnation and that must always matter. Now, they're about to fight Harvest, the being who forced them to join forces for the last time and who knows how will this affect their future?

Speaking as someone who has hated 90% of the issues from this series written by Scott Lobdell, I must say that I actually enjoyed this issue and it actually reminded me why at some point even liked it.

Call me crazy but there were a lot of interestinc team dynamics here between all the members from the cast meanwhile all of them reflect on their time as Titans and how the experience has changed them. These were actually some pretty interesting samples of character work. Sure, Lobdell has committed a lot of mistakes with Kon, Bart and Solstice but here at least these kids were sympathetic.

The final confrontation with Harvest was also pretty logical considering how the villain first appeared and his development over the course of the series. It was a pretty satisfactory battle and one that certainly brings closure.

Art duties are shared this time by Keneth Rocafort, Tom Derenick and R.B. Silva and their styles work surprisingly well with one another. Rocafort's pencils were the best of course with his beautiful style but the others did a pretty solid job here.

Overall this whole series should have been much better but it suffered from uneven execution and terrible interference by editorial but at least this final issue bring a decent ending for what it was.
