Batman has decided to bring back Damian but he's not willing to risk anybody else.
Batgirl, Red Hood and Red Robin are ready to follow him no matter how dangerous the mission, but Bruce cares too much about them to allow that to happen. Now he's ready to go in a mission alone to save his son no matter what.
Perfect characterization, this is what you can expect from this issue people.
Every character who appears here is completely on-point. Peter Tomasi brings a quite enjoyable dynamic between Batman and his family that reminisces a lot of their most important moments and at the same time makes Bruce a much more understandable and likable character.
The good aspects don't end there though since the writer also portrays each member from the Justice League quite well and the dynamic between Bruce and Luthor is always something great to behold.
Patrick Gleason is on art duties and my God, his work is outstanding. He depicts every moment from the chapter perfectly thanks to his incredible storytelling techniques and it all looks beautiful to boot.
Excellent issue, probably the best from this arc.
This is another series we both love.
