Some thoughts about Justice League 3000 #9

The Justice League had just lost and gained a new member.

Barry Allen is dead and Hal is decided to make the Five pay for their actions. Meanwhile, Teri has just been brought back to life with The Flash's abilities and she knows she has to confront her brother no matter the result.

If I had to resume this issue in a word it would be fun.

Firts thing you must know is that this particular chapter has two sections, one focused in Hal while the other focuses in Teri.

The first part it's a pretty exciting one, both Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis know how to bring an entertaining little story despite that it mostly consists in fighting. This makes the character of Hal much stronger and gives a bit of resolution to his fight against Locus.

The second segment is focused in Teri while she's exploring what she's able to do as The Flash and of course, the upcoming confrontation with her brother. It has some pretty interesting moments and the writers know how to execute it appropriately.

If I had a complaint though is that the narration is what a bit overwritten, especially in the second section since Teri starts to explain pretty much everything in her head and not leaving much for imagination.

Howar Porter is in charge of the first story and while his art remains the best as you may expect due to its power and complexity, Chris Batista does a solid job in his section by interpreting story appropriately.

Solid issue definitely, I few qualms but they don't ruin it.
