Some thoughts about Superman/Wonder Woman Annual #1

Superman is completely out of control, what will Wonder Woman do now?

Diana and the rest of the Justice League are trying to find ways to help Clark who is also trying to fight against his current Doomsday persona. Now, it depends on Diana, Lana and Steel to try to save Clark but even that might not be enough to stop the danger.

This is the third part from the "Last Sun" miniarc inside of the "Doomed" crossover and it's a solid chapter for what it tries to accomplish.

Charles Soule continues to do a solid job at this crossover by bringing a compelling "event" feel where the scale is huge. There are a lot of characters from the DCU appearing here and they're presence here is pretty on-point with their classic portrayals.

It's also good to know that Soule continues to bring nice plot-points from Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman run like what happens when she takes off her bracelets. Plus, characters like Lana and Steel managed to shine and they're probably creating a relationship for them in the future.

However, I still feel like it was a bit suffocating at times due to the amount of characters who appeared here and the constant action, the pacing was too fast for its own good sometimes. I wish there was more focus in the main premise that is supposed to be Clark/Diana's relationship.

The art was hadnled by Ed Benes, Tony Daniel, Pascal Alixe, Cliff Richards and Jack Herbert. Despite of the different artists the issue keeps a consistent style during the whole story while the strongest scenes were depicted by Benes, Daniel and Alixe.

Overall, is a decent issue but it suffers sometimes.
