The fate of the world rest in the hands of its heroes as usual.
Val-Zod is decided to stop Superman but not necessarily by fighting him. Meanwhile, the rest of the Wonders of the world continue the battle against the forces of Apokolips, can they truly recover their own world after so much destruction.
Well, this issue delivers some... interesting content as usual.
Okay, there are things that work and others that no so much. For one, Val-Zod is a "Pacifist Superman" and that means he's not going to fight but he's going to try to reason with his enemies and that includes the corrupted Superman. That makes for a kinda dull encounter and it makes me question why even give such character that amount of powers if he's not going to use them.
Second, something happens to the corrupted Superman here, I'm not going to say if he's defeated or not but I'm going to say that it's kinda disappointing considering that it would have been much more interesting if he wasn't this way, if that makes sense.
Well, at least Aquawoman is an interesting character, I'm really enjoying her.
Still, this present a decent conclusion for this arc but one that doesn't present an ending for the war.
The best aspect for me since this series began has been Nicola Scott's pencils and I'm happy to say that she didn't disappoint here. In her final issue she's able to deliver a lot of great scenes for this chapter and makes the story so much better for that besides, I'm glad that she put Alan Scott in the place he deserved at the end. Thanks for that.
Solid issue I would say, but I hope the future starts presenting different stuff.
