Batwoman is about to face one of the worst moments from her life.
Kate is trying to survive from the attack of Nocturna and the rest of the criminals she hired but even if Kate survives she will have to deal with one of the hardest decisions she will have to make.
I must say that I enjoyed this issue much more than the last one.
Despite that the rest of the villains continue to be kinda silly (aside from Nocturna), they fortunately don't last long and Marc Andreyko does what he does best: Character work.
There's a particular segment here that actually works like a great pay-off from the most recent sub-plots that have been appearing since the beginning of this run and they actually involve both Kate and Maggie. It's a pretty well-executed and understandable moment based on what have been happening lately and thankfully, the natural dialogue makes such scenes even better.
And the issue ends with an... let's say interesting moment.
Jeremy Haun is joined by artist Moritat in this chapter and despite that Haun's work remains the strongest, Moritat doesn't do a bad job at his sections, his style is a bit more cartoony but not bad at all.
Solid issue definitely, I'm intrigued for the direction.
