Some thoughts about Green Lantern Corps #34

The war is over but John Stewart has suffered one of the biggest tragedies from his life.

The Green Lantern Corps is finally regaining its good name but John still needs to search for Fatality after finding that she was replaced by a shapeshfting Durlan, but even if he's able to find her, he might not like the result.

This works as an epilogue from the previous Uprising storyline and it's probably one of the strongest issues to date.

Van Jensen creates an one-and-done story where he concentrates on the struggles that John is currently having after learning that the woman he loved was not the person he thought. His suffering is pretty understandable and developes pretty strong emotional moments.

However, the best part is when he actually finds Fatality and learns the whole truth about her, it creates a quite heartbreaking moment for him and the author executes it perfectly.

Bernard Chang remains on pencils, his beautiful artwork is able to depic every moment from the story perfectly and made the best segments even better. Marcolo Maiolo's colors also complemented greatly his style.

One of the best issues from this series, don't you dare to miss it.
