Some thoughts about The Flintstones #6

What happens at the end of the world?

The people from Bedrock have just learned that an asteroid is about to kill them all and all of them are trying to spend their lives in the best or craziest way possible.

Oh my God, this was so much fun.

Mark Russell offers a new installment where he doesn't focus so much on social commentary as much as on pure entertainment. There's still a few references here and there including topics like civilization, science and religion and how they're connected to the plot. However, most of it is not as important as the insane events that happen during the story and quite frankly, it works really well for that reason.

There are several enjoyable moments where the different people from Bedrock react in their own way to the news of their doom and even includes a few emotional scenes from the most unexpected people that show more depth than what you would anticipate. All of that comes together to the hilarious conclusion that would put a smile in everyone's faces.

Steve Pugh remains in art duties and his work is still perfect to represent the character's expressions and storytelling this kind of series requires.

Pretty great once again, probably one of the best things I've read this week.
