Some thoughts about Gotham Academy: Second Semester #4

The carnival has come to Gotham Academy.

A strange group who live for the spectacle have arrived and Olive and the rest can't help but find something suspicious about their history.

Every issue of this book goes for the supernatural as usual.

Brenden Fletcher goes solo in this one-and-done story that explores even more of the bizarre occurrences in Gotham Academy. This time in the form of the Midnight Carnival and their history with this particular place and especially Headmaster Hammer.

The characterization is pretty solid with all the members of the cast having fun and accurate moments based on their history while also showing some surprising scenes from the supporting cast which creates a deeper background for the book as a whole. The strange aspects are nicely executed and used into the story once again.

Jon Lam delivers one of the strongest works in art duties that this book has seen, he's really able to capture the magic of the series and making every character and fantastical scene look great.

Pretty enjoyable overall, this series is on a roll.
