Some thoughts about Detective Comics #947

Is Batman ready to end all of this?

The Victim Syndicate has unleashed their final attack and Batman's team are planning to stop them. However, Spoiler believes there's a better way to help everyone.

The conclusion of this storyarc is here aaaaand sadly is not as best as it could have been.

For one, I never really thought this was an interesting storyline as I mentioned earlier. James Tynion IV developed strong characterization for the most part but the way how the Victim Syndicate's theme worked on the protagonists was so forced that it was just unbelievable in some instances.

And here is where the problem starts. Spoiler ends-up buying what the Syndicate said, I mean she's not helping them but she's not on Batman side anymore which creates more unnecessary conflict for her that I believe any other character (like let's say, Harper Row) could have fulfilled. This simply makes me miss Steph's old and fun personality even more.

Alvaro Martinez' artwork is great though with a lot of detail for the characters and setting while depicting a pretty dark style that is perfect for the book.

Not terrible but I wouldn't call it good. Just disappointing.
