Some thoughts about Green Arrow #12

Green Arrow will have learn what it means a true outlaw.

The people from Seattle have their own opinions about their protector and Oliver's enemies are ready to make that image much worse.

I think this might be getting better actually.

Ben Percy brings a new chapter where he uses all the different plot-points he has been creating during the course of his run and he does it in a decent way for the most part. The relationship between Oliver and Black Canary is still solidly portrayed with many fun moments to make it enjoyable (Mind you, the relationship is still not exactly perfectly depicted since Percy pretty much idealizes it without showing any of the classic negative sides).

The plot progresses at a nice but as usual, at a kinda erratic pace. Percy continues to implement his usual political angle but fortunately is not as obtuse as previous offers and while he it seems a bit one-sided at times, he at least seems to be making fun of his own side as well ("Seems" being the key word here but I'm not sure if that was his intention).

Otto Schmidt returns to art duties and my God, his work is magnificent. He is easily one of the best pencillers who has worked on the series and I wouldn't mind if he stays in the book. His beautiful and fun style is just a joy to watch.

Not bad once again, but still not perfect. An improvement nonetheless.
