Some thoughts about Sixpack/Dogwelder: Hard-Travelin' Heroz #5

To help Dogwelder, Section Eight will have to go to space.

An asteroid is coming to destroy Earth and now the team will be forced to try to stop it while also discovering what is the connection with one of their teammates.

Still good fun.

Garth Ennis continues his silly story by pretty much making fun of the notion of superhero events and threats. The coming of a meteor is a pretty realistic menace but you can tell that Ennis is ridiculizing the whole premise of superheroes fighting about catastrophic situations which is even more obvious when everything is connected to Dogwelder and his ridiculous problems.

Plus, there's a surprising amount of character development once that the relationship between Sixpack and Dogwelder is further explored and as usual from Ennis, you see the human side even from the most ridiculous sources (Except Constantine since he's still parodied to death).

Russ Braun continues to handle the artwork and his styls remains perfect for the book thanks to his expressive and detailed characters.

Pretty entertaining, sad this is about to end.
